It’s time for viewers to vote for the contestant who will win the title of America’s Favorite Houseguest (also known as America’s Favorite Player) on Big Brother 23 and take home the $50,000 cash prize. Now better known as AFH or AFP, this award was introduced on Big Brother 7: All-Stars. At the time, the title was called America’s Favorite Juror, and its first-ever recipient was Janelle Pierzina. Over the years, eight men and six women have won America’s Favorite.

So far, the public has chosen the following America’s Favorite Players on the show: Janelle Pierzina (BB7), James Zinkand (BB9), Keesha Smith (BB10), Jeff Schroeder (BB11), Britney Haynes (BB12), Jeff Schroeder (BB13), Frank Eudy (BB14), Elissa Slater (BB15), Donny Thompson (BB16), James Huling (BB17), Victor Arroyo (BB18), Cody Nickson (BB19), Tyler Crispen (BB20), Nicole Anthony (BB21), and Da’Vonne Rogers (BB22). Now, the time has come for the fans to pick which player they’d like to win America’s Favorite on BB23.

According to, each fan has a “maximum of one (1) vote per device per day” during this voting period of seven days. The winner will be announced at the grand finale airing on Wednesday, September 29 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Given that the grand prize of BB23 was increased from $500,000 to $750,000, producers decided to also increase the cash prize for America’s Favorite Houseguest. Over the years, the winners of AFH/AFP have each been awarded $25,000. In 2021, however, the chosen America’s Favorite Player will win a cash prize of $50,000, which is a significant step up. At this point, some fans believe that the winner of Big Brother 23 has already been chosen given the players who are left in the final three. However, the competition to win AFP is only getting started, and the outcome is much more undecided right now.

It should be noted that all 16 contestants on BB23 are eligible to receive votes for America’s Favorite Houseguest, regardless of their standing in the game.
